Apple Crisp via the cavegirl dish

It's apple crisp season! I found the recipe from "The CaveGirl Dish"

Apple Crisp

Crisp Topping:
1/2 cup almond meal/flour
1/4 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup dried unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped almonds, pecans (or whatever nut suits your fancy - no peanuts!)
1 tsp pumpkin spice
3/4 cup apple sauce
pinch sea salt
3 tbsp Coconut oil, melted
3 tbsp raw honey

Apple Mixture:
4 medium/large apples, peeled and sliced
1 tblsp Arrowroot powder
1 tsp pumpkin spice
1/4 tsp ginger/powdered or grated fresh
1/2 cup organic unsweetened apple sauce

Preheat oven to 350ยบ. Grease a 8x8 baking dish with coconut oil.

In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients for crisp topping. When thoroughly combined, add the coconut oil and raw honey, combine. The topping will be crumbly. Set aside.

Peel and cut up your apple slices, and combine thoroughly with the remaining apple mixture ingredients. Spread evenly in the baking dish, then evenly spread the topping mixture over the apples. The apples should be completely covered.

Bake for 45-50 minutes.
